Process and Technique
Images are captured with a variety of conventional film sizes, including 6X9, 645, and 35 mm formats on Zeiss© and/or Leica© lenses. Fine art prints are made by scanning the film up to 4000 dpi, and then making adjustments to the file with Adobe Photoshop CS. Traditional adjustment techniques (color balance, ‘dusting’, and size cropping) are utilized when appropriate. No image alteration, layering, or manipulation is performed. My goal is to convey the excitement and thrill of the imaging experience at the time of shutter release. My prints incorporate the latest inkjet technology:
- Epson’s pigmented UltraChrome© inks and papers are utilized, since these show exceptional color “punch,” resolution, and archival life.
- Epson’s UltraGiclee© certified fine art prints are warranted to resist noticeable fading for 80 years from the original date of purchase when the print is handled, framed and displayed appropriately.
Each signed print is made at the time of order and customized from 8”x 10” to 24” x 32” sizes.
